School Scholarships
Application Dates: Opens 1 January 2010; closes 19 February 2010.
There are 3 scholarships available for primary and intermediate students of $250 each and 3 scholarships for secondary school students of $500 each.
Eligibility:
Children or grandchildren of NZCU Auckland cusotmers as at 1 December 2009. Child/Parent/Grandparent must have at least one account that has been used in the previous six months. The child must be enrolled at a school for the 2010 year, but the school may be a state, private or church school and must be recognised by the Ministry of Education.
Procedure:
The customer must complete and sign a Scholarship Application in the name of the pupil.
Primary/Intermediate - The Application form will also be required to be signed by the Principal/Teacher of the school confirming that the child has a satisfactory attendance and behavioural record.
Secondary - In addition to the above, the Application will also detail the subjects taken by the pupil and include a brief statement by the pupil about his/her ambitions and thoughts for his/her future.
Decision:
The allocation of the Scholarships will be the absolute decision of NZCU Auckland.
Payment:
The Scholarships will be paid to the schools in the names of the successful pupils for the express use of that pupil for any school expense such as fees, stationery, trips, etc.
